The capital of Ukraine is also one of the country's top tourist destinations, and there are attractions to suit all tastes -- and the same goes for hotels. Kiev hotels run from converted palaces to cheap and cheerful hostels, and cover almost everything in between.
Hotels in Kiev are centered around the downtown area, and there are several dozen options to be found between the main train station on the west and the river on the east. If you are wondering where to stay in Kiev, it's helpful to first decide what neighborhood you want to be in. In the downtown area, for example, hotels running more than US$200 a night are practically next door to Kiev accommodations charging just US$40 a night.
Kiev lodging also includes options spread across the countryside, including homes for rent and secluded spas.
Places to stay in Kiev generally cost less during the off-season and on weekends, when business travelers are less numerous. It is harder to find Kiev hotel deals during the summer, but with so many lodging options finding someplace affordable is not too hard any time of year.
