You can start the tour of things to do in Zafra with Plaza Grande and Plaza Chica. Plaza Grande, one of the main Zafra attractions, dates from the mid-sixteenth century and five streets run into it. Plaza Chica is famous for being home to the altarpiece of the Virgen de la Esperanza and the famous Vara de Zafra, an old yardstick for traders working there. Other monuments and places to visit in Zafra include the Palace of the Dukes of Feria, a fortress built in the fifteenth century, and then enlarged in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It currently houses the "Dukes of Feria" Parador de Turismo. The Church of Santa Marina, the Chapel of Bethlehem, the Arc de Jerez, and Cubo Arc are other important attractions in Zafra. But besides visiting all the monuments and things to see in Zafra, you can take one of the routes through the Sierra del Castellar, another one of the fun Zafra activities. One is the Camino de los Naranjos, which is about 10 km long, but there are many more. If you want to know more about what to do in Zafra today, you'll find other routes, excursions and alternative stuff to do in Zafra that's organized by the tourism council.
