It's an ancient Roman city on the Adriatic Sea close to the edge of the lagoons, just a few kilometers inland, on the river Natiso. One of the main places to visit in Aquileia is the Basilica. La Loba Capitolina is a bronze sculpture of a she-wolf suckling twin babies, inspired by the legend of the founding of Rome.
