Zencisca Cove

A 3 kilómetros de la localidad de Jelsa y de sus playas más famosas, también también más masificadas, dirección ya hacia Sucuraj, se encuentra esta pequeña pero coqueta playa. Situada al resguardo de una pequeña y estrecha bahía en forma de "u" y rodeada de auténtica vegetación mediterránea, más que una playa, yo la considero una cala. Al igual que en la gran mayoría de las playas de Croacia, la arena brilla por su ausencia, pero sin duda es una buena opción para desconectar y tumbarse a tomar el sol, si bien durante la época estival, el mayor atractivo de la cala son sus aguas cristalinas, que invitan al chapuzón inmediato. Como toda cala que se precie, tiene rocas en los laterales de la bahía y también en el agua, pero al estar tan cristalina, se ven estupendamente, de hecho, es un buen sitio para hacer un poco de snorkel. En un lateral, según se mira al frente en la parte derecha, a modo de "arena" hay guijarros o piedritas pequeñas, pero toda la base de la "u", es decir, la superficie de la cala está cubierta por un trozo de cemento estrecho, que tiene un pico saliente hacia el mar en su parte central, muy típico lo del cemento en Croacia. Y a la gente le mola el "cementing", porque todos se tumban a tomar el sol tranquilamente sobre sus toallas estiradas sobre el duro cemento. También está la opción de las rocas de los laterales, pero la opción del cemento es a buen seguro menos "dañina" para la espalda. Al ser una bahía muy estrecha, ciertas zonas quedan al atardecer a la sombra, para quien guste, pero en gran parte de la cala el sol está más que asegurado durante prácticamente todo el día. Dispone de duchas, curiosos cambiadores de ropa y un aparcamiento en el que entran 20-30 coches, no más, situado justo encima de la cala, a la que se baja por unas escaleritas. Justo encima de la cala creo que hay un hotel o una serie de apartamentos, cuyos inquilinos lógicamente bajan a esta playa, pero no es una playa muy masificada, incluso a pesar del relativo poco espacio que tiene, en pleno verano siempre puedes hacerte un hueco. Esta cala es ideal para desconectar y perderse en medio de un paisaje adriático-mediterráneo auténtico, rodeado de vegetación; lo que es para no perderse es la posibilidad de nadar y disfrutar de unas aguas tan cristalinas como las que ofrece esta cala, altamente recomendable parar si vas desde Stari Grad o Jelsa hacia Sucuraj, merece la pena ya que la cala está a pie de carretera.

On one side, as you face the front on the right, as an "arena" no pebbles or small stones, but the whole basis of the "u", ie, the surface of the creek is covered by a piece of narrow cement, which has a peak protruding into the sea at its core, it's very typical Croatian cement. And people will cool the "cementing" because all lie down to sunbathe on their towels stretched on the hard cement. There is also the option of the rocks on the sides, but the choice of cement is surely less "harmful" to the back. Being a very narrow bay, certain areas remain at sunset in the shade, for those who like it, but in much of the cove the sun is more than assured during most of the day. Has showers, laundry curious changers and parking in the coming 20 to 30 cars, no more, just above the cove, which is down a staircase. Just above the creek I think there is a hotel or a series of apartments whose tenants logically down to this beach, but a beach is not very crowded, even despite the relatively little space you have, in summer you can always make a hole . This cove is ideal for unwinding and lost amidst a landscape authentic Adriatic-Mediterranean, surrounded by greenery, what not to miss is the ability to swim and enjoy water so clear as those offered this cove, highly recommended stop if you go from Stari Grad and Jelsa to Sucuraj worth since the cove is next to the road.
