Situated in the northern district Sanmachi, lies Yoshijima-ke. It is one of the most notable examples of houses that belongs to Takayama merchants during the Edo period. Yoshijima-ke's is known not just for its ornamentation, but by its structure. It is typically seen in architecture magazines. It cost us 500 yen to go inside, and you must wear shoes..
