Yoshijima-ke
Situated in the northern district Sanmachi, lies Yoshijima-ke. It is one of the most notable examples of houses that belongs to Takayama merchants during the Edo period. Yoshijima-ke's is known not just for its ornamentation, but by its structure. It is typically seen in architecture magazines. It cost us 500 yen to go inside, and you must wear shoes.. The elevation of the roof and the skylight is a blast. If you like architecture you will like the lines and distribution.
