XXIX Procession of del Carmen Virgin , Sea Tower

Eran las ocho de la mañana, cuando se empezaron a escuchar los primeros cohetes y el sonido de la flauta del tamboril por las calles de Torre del Mar, anunciando el paso de la Virgen del Carmen por las calles hasta llegar a la Iglesia. La Virgen era portada en una carreta cubierta de flores, tiradas por dos bueyes enjalonados para la ocasión y detrás los romeros vestidos a la usanza tradicional. Una multitud de devotos y romeros la esperaban a la entrada de la Iglesia de san Andrés,y a su llegada le tiraban petalos de rosas. Seguidamente hubo una preciosa misa romera, cantada por el coro de la peña "'Marisma y Azahar'. Al terminar la Misa, la imagen fué paseada por las calles de Torre del Mar y el paseo marítimo, mientras los romeros cantaban y bailaban. Después la fiesta continuó en el lugar de acampada del Río Seco. El tiempo acompañó con un sol espléndido, que dió aún más vistosidad a la fiesta.

It was eight o"clock, when they began to hear the first rockets and sound of the flute of the drum through the streets of Torre del Mar, announcing the passage of the Virgen del Carmen through the streets to reach the church.
