Woodford Reserve Distillery

One of the major attractions in Kentucky are its bourbon distilleries, whiskey made with a base of maize that is favoured in the United States. Woodford Reserve is located in the heart of the Bluegrass region. It is the oldest of the nine operating in the state and its origins date back to the early nineteenth century. The building itself is considered a historical heritage. The tour is very illustrative of the manufacturing process and includes a small bourbon tasting session at the end. Woodford Reserve bourbon is not an everyday bourbon as it is usually too expensive, but I never say no to a drink.
