A tranquil city
Williamsburg is a city on the outskirts of Washington, about ninety minutes away from the capital. It has everything that you'd expect from a big city, but with added tranquility. There are regular performances outdoors along with old-fashioned houses to show you what life was like in the Colonial period. You can reach it by Interstate 64, US60 and SR143, or you can fly here by using Williamsburg International Airport (a few kilometers away), the airport in Norfolk or, Richmond airport.
