Wicklow Jail is an opportunity to experience prison life in Australia in the 18th century, the passion of the 1798 rebellion, the cruelty of transport ships and the hope of a new life in Australia. The prison is reopened again after 100 years. The jail give you the chance to see the ways in which the prisoners were punished, the jail cells, as well as a sense of the despair that they felt. It is open all year, from 10.30 to 16.30 and Sunday from 11.00 to 16.00. In winter from 11.00 to 15.00. Prices are Adult: 7.30 AC, Children: 4.50, Students and Seniors: 6 AC, families: 19 AC.
