Wetland Mouth Maule

Very few people, including the Colonel, know this beautiful wetland, which crosses the city in two. The Maule Boca Wetland originates around Estero Maule. In this wetland other waterways converge as the estuary and estuary Posada Lagunillas, eventually leading to the Broads Pacific waters. It controls the hydrology of the city and thus prevents flooding. The place itself is an attraction for people who like nature. It has a high natural and scenic value. It has a wealth of fauna and flora with a diversity of birds and aquatic vegetation worthy of preserving. We must protect these few natural sites that are left into Coronel.
