Weston-super-Mare

My experience - the village of Weston-super-Mare equals holiday spree. I'll start with the strange name which is a bundle of Saxon vocabulary and its meaning is not as bizarre as it sounds, it simply means settlement on the sea (the Bristol Channel slides over the long wide beach of this town). The beach reminds me of those Victorian photographs with women in white dresses and parasols strolling near the water and mud up to their knees. All those pictures I have seen are from Weston-Super-Mare because here the difference in tides creates an area that is a delight for children (and maybe some stress for some parents).
