An original mansion
The Wattles Museum is located in Los Angeles. The story of Wattles Mansion would make a great movie: a bright photo start, the gradual decline, and a joyful rebirth. The only real original Los Angeles mansion from the turn of the century that has not been subdivided or demolished, still occupies 49 acres at the base of the Hollywood Hills, a proud survivor of a gentler age.
