Walls of Bragança
Bragança Citadel is surrounded by a perimeter wall that's 660 meters in length, in whose center is the Castle. The walls we see today date from the fifteenth century, built during the reign of Afonso V. The walls are masonry (2 meters thick and 6 meters tall) with 15 towers, 2 doors (Porta do Sol and Porta da Vila or Santo Antonio) and 2 shutters (Porta da Traição and Poco do Rei). The whole complex is surrounded by gardens.
