Brewpub with an outdoorsy vibe
Walking Man Brewing is located in Stevenson, Washington in the Columbia Gorge. It's a lovely, unassuming spot in a quiet town to grab a beer and a bite to eat after hiking/camping/running/exploring in the Gorge. It has a great, laid-back vibe, and you get the feeling that everyone else ve's stopped in just got done with their hiking and adventuring as well. The brewpub is in a cool western style building, with a large outdoor patio surrounded by brush and gardens with lights hanging overhead. In the summer, the outdoor area is awesome to relax in. In the winter, it has a cozy feel and is generally quieter.
They brew solid beer, and have a large selection of rotating tap beer. I enjoyed my IPA, but must go back to try the stouts I hear people raving about. They have a variety of pub food to choose from, and even feature live music sometimes. Walking Man brewing is an awesome brewpub to have a relaxed time in and enjoy their beer and food. Check it out if you're in the Gorge!
