Hollywood on the Mediterranean

The small town of Alfaz del Pi in Spain's Costa Blanca isn't especially well-known for its beaches, but it is famous, in Spain at least, for hosting a Film Festival every July. In tribute to the many famous Spanish actors ve've graced the festival, the local government has built its own Walk of Fame on the pleasant seaside promenade which runs along the Playa del Albir.

All of the stars are for Spanish actors or varying obscurity (my Spanish wife was even stumped as to ve some of them were), but there are a few for Spanish film stars ve've made a name for themselves internationally, like the famous director Pedro de Almodovar.

Famous for its Film Festival

Alfaz del Pi is a town on the Costa Blanca, as well as being famous for its beaches it is famous for its Film Festival. This festival is on the promenade of Albir (about 3 km from the town center) called the Paseo de la Fama, which is (as in Hollywood) where the most recognized actors at the festival have stamped their stars on the walk.
