Tiny village
Vlyhos is a tiny village located on the island of Hydra. To get there, walk down a path that begins at the port of Hydra, for three quarters of an hour. The road is quite steep and dirty, so wear comfortable shoes. The village consists of several houses with land where the owners grow all kinds of products and two tavernas, who often have a typical schedule, so it's normal for them to be closed. Houses are white, as the Hydra, but red and blue predominates in windows and doors. The village also has a nineteenth century stone bridge. Although not very well maintained, it has great charm and is surrounded by greenery.
The most striking thing is undoubtedly the beach. It is a pebble beach where you can always find either boats used for fishing or to transport people from one side to another of the island. I forgot to say that there is another way of transport. In Hydra can rent a "donkey taxi" for a small fee, yes, these animals walk very slowly and as the road has enough slopes it takes a whole to arrive. People are very nice though few English and very often that we have to make ourselves understood through gestures.
