Rebuilt by Napoleon Bonaparte

To the left of Ponte Sant Angelo is Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II. It was rebuilt by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1810, after a flood destroyed the previous bridge, and it allows us to cross the River Tiber and reach the church of Gran Madre di Dio (Plaza Gran Madre di Dio) at the foot of the hill.
