Mogrovejo

Una privilegiada ubicación sin duda, encaramada y protegida por el macizo de Ándara, guardando así sus espaldas. Una aldea que te atrapa nada más verla, idílica, encaramada en un llano y rodeada de bosques de roble rebollo, castaños, acebos. Momento ideal es la llegada del otoño, colores espectaculares, con vistas al Macizo Oriental de Picos. Desde Potes dirección CA-185 Fuente Dé, llego a Camaleño, donde me alojaría para disfrutar de rutas de senderismo y seguir descubriendo lo afortunada que es Liébana. Tras alojarme en El Caserío, decidí coger el siguiente desvió , pasado los Llanos y llegarme a Mogrovejo. Momentos de bonita luz, se avecinaba el atardecer y la luz embellecía, aun más si puede la aldea. Parcelas con muros de cantería, cercan casonas de sillería y mampostería. Sus balconadas lucen diseños de forja antiguos, algún pozo de agua con cubo para extraerla y como no, geranios. De lejos lo que más sobresale es la Torre defensiva medieval de Mogrovejo, finales S. XIII, de una familia parece ser, distinguida del conocido valle, Valdebaró. Se presta y más dado el buen aparcamiento, al final de la aldea a recorrerla a pie, es coqueta y la siguen restaurando. De alguna de las casas lucen antiguos aperos de labranza, también sobresale el horno de leña, en piedra. En otras sus paredes me sorprenden, pues están formadas por entrelazadas varas de avellanos y posteriormente con barro, ¡supongo que eran el pajar! Volví tras mis pasos y disfrute la imagen que tras la Torre de Mogrovejo, con sus almenas y casona adosada, inclusive un monumento funerario de los "Condes de Mogrovejo" en la actualidad privado. Disfrute del macizo de Ándara, con cumbres como la "Junciana" y el "Pico del Sagrado Corazón" sobre la Torre. Su casco histórico mantenido intacto a través del tiempo, incluido desde 1985 como un Bien de Interés Cultural. La iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, data del siglos XVI, esta formada por una única nave rectangular, altar barroco acoge una Virgen flamenca, La Milagrosa del S. XV junto a un lienzo de Santo Toribio y la Cruz procesional. Me hubiera gustado visitar el Museo de la Escuela, será en otra ocasión ya que estaba cerrado.
