Virgin of the Square Hermitage

Esta pequeña ermita está ubicada a un lado del Parador y frente a la catedral. Se trata de un edificio gótico del XVI, y su fachada es posterior, ya que es barroca del siglo XVIII. En el exterior y bajo el campanario posee una talla de la Virgen del siglo XVI, y el interior un retablo con una imagen de la Virgen de la Plaza, patrona de Santo Domingo. En septiembre esta Virgen es sacada en procesión junto a la de Santo Domingo por las calles de la localidad.

This small chapel is located beside the Parador and opposite the cathedral. It is a Gothic building of XVI, and its facade is back as the eighteenth century is Baroque. Outside and under the steeple has a carving of the Virgin of the sixteenth century, and inside an altarpiece with an image of the Virgen de la Plaza, patroness of Santo Domingo. In September this Virgin is paraded next to Santo Domingo in the streets of the town.
