Douro River Cruise

Throughout the cruise, the vineyards grow on both sides. What I remember about it are the locks, moving from side to side of the dam. Because of this, the boat becomes a kind of ship and, once there, it begins to fill up with water until the ship reaches the level of the river on the other side. It feels a bit claustrophobic but it is certainly an experience you will never forget. I also remember that every time I think of the Duero, the verses I learned when I was a child: Rio Douro, Douro River, no one to go with low, no one stops to hear your eternal verse of water. And I remember watching the foam which makes the boat pass, as the words of love you speak of romance.
