Spectacular landscape

Corsica is a spectacular island - there's not a single place that's not worth seeing. In my opinion, the best way to visit and explore the island is doing it privately with your own car; if not, you'll miss out on the many unique, spectacular landscapes that are totally off the beaten track. This is the case with the Gulf of Ajaccio. There are lookout points throughout the island, where you can stop your car and quietly admire the views of the sea. Many of the lookouts have tables and benches, so you can have a little picnic while enjoying the stunning landscapes of sea, cliffs and rocks in the background.

These viewpoints are also the starting point for many divers, as they are usually located in rocky areas without many people, so the diving is truly wonderful. These special places are hard to find if you're relying on public transport, so it's best to take your own car when you visit Corsica.
