Viewpoint of Capelas

During our tour of the Green Island called Sao Miguel, heading northwest along the regional road and after passing the town of Ribeira Grande, we reached the Mirador de Capelas. This viewpoint at the town bearing the same name is an excellent place to see the relief of coastal cliffs, where the Great Atlantic is lost on the horizon showing the intense blue colors. From here you can also see the town with a background of green hills surrounded by meadows where cattle graze and where you feel a sense of freedom to be able to enjoy a large and magnificent natural environment.
