7 reviews of Victoria Train Station

One of London's busiest terminals

London Victoria Station is one of London's busiest terminals. There's a subway station, a train station and bus station (with national and Euroline buses). The English take the bus to go to nearby towns such as Oxford, Leicester and Portsmouth more than the train (which has fewer services and is more expensive). With megabus.Com you can find tickets from £1/journey. The train station has services to the west and south of the country, including many direct trains for London Gatwick airport that take 20 minutes (you can buy your ticket on board). The station was built for the Great Exhibition of 1851, it was then Crystal Palace Station, for Expo travelers.

Then it became a normal station for passenger trains which opened to the public in 1860. It's close to Buckingham Palace and the queen takes her private train as it moves across the country!

Highlights include the tourist information center located at the junction of Victoria Street and Buckingham St and the small bus station. There are also all kinds of services including restaurants, cafes, ATMs, bureaux de change etc. It is also connected to the metro.
