Vía Verde del Pas

Greenways are ancient courses of narrow disused railway which have been recovered for non-motorized vehicles and to practice outdoor sports. The Pas Greenway comprises the old Feve railway line between Astillero and Ontaneda, which operated between 1902 and 1973. The walk is 34 km long and runs along the river Pas. It is completely flat and can only be crossed on foot or by bicycle. Starting the walk in downtown Viesgo Bridge, opposite the Palacio de Fuentes Pila (now the Town Hall), one can take two directions: Towards Pomaluengo (which ends at Castañeda Collegiate) or to Soto Iruz (which ends at the sanctuary of the Virgen del Soto, patron of Toranzo Valley).
