Via Tasso

Palazzi ottocenteschi colorati, aiuole fiorite, negozi, bar e caffè rendono via Tasso una delle strade più allegre e colorate della città bassa. Qui sorgono anche numerosi edifici istituzionali, come le sedi della Provincia e della Prefettura e la biblioteca comunale. Diversi cortili interni, tipici dei palazzi ottocenteschi, si aprono su gallerie di negozi o palazzi privati. In uno di questi è esposta una sfera di Arnaldo Pomodoro. Da questa strada si arriva in via Pignolo, da cui si prosegue poi a piedi verso il colle della città alta.

Nineteenth century buildings colorful flowerbeds, shops, bars and cafes make the Tasso one of the most cheerful and colorful of the lower city. Here there are also numerous institutional buildings, such as offices of the Province and of the Prefecture and the city library. Several courtyards, typical of nineteenth-century buildings, opening onto private buildings or shopping arcades. In one of these is exposed to a sphere by Arnaldo Pomodoro. From this road you come in via Exacting, from where you continue then walk towards the hill of the upper city.
