Via Aquitania (Roman) of Narbonne
The Via Aquitania was a Roman road built in 118. C in Gaul as a way of penetrating into northern Gaul, Aquitaine, from the Mediterranean coast. It started in Narbonne, the capital of the Roman province of Gallia Narbonensis. There it spliced with the Via Domitia. From Martius Narbo it was projected into the Atlantic Ocean through Toulouse (Toulouse), reaching Burdigala (Bordeaux), after about 400 miles. In Narbonne you can visit Via Domitia which comes all the way from the 4th century.
