The best viewpoint in London
The website does not appear in many guides and, despite its claims, not many people know about it. Tower 42, once the ceiling of London (gray tower in the City by the ubiquitous "Gherkin") has, on the top floor, a restaurant/cocktail bar. Tables are set by windows that go from floor to ceiling. The views, mostly to the south/west are spectacular, especially at sunset. The food is nothing special and of course is expensive. But the cocktails (for London) are reasonably priced and with the bonus of the view become good value. It has a somewhat restricted schedule and booking is advisable.
