An ideal, relaxed setting on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Italy: the lake, the mist, the mountains ... so many beautiful things to see. It´s only 1 hour away from Milan so it´s super accessible. The city of Verbania is very touristy but has very affordable prices. There are many Germans and Swiss.
