Vauxhall Park

Close to Vauxhall Station is Vauxhall Park - it's one of the many parks in the city of London and is much smaller than the huge Hyde Park or Kensington Garden, but it's perfect to take a break during a long visit to the British capital. There are places to play football, it's in a quiet residential area so you don't hear traffic or city noise and it's quiet enough to lie on the grass to read and have a picnic lunch in good weather. It's very central and close to the River Thames, which by the way is totally pedestrian on the southern shore side of Vauxhall Park. You can skate or bike from downtown London to spend some quality time here.
