A very nice place
A very nice place to rest or go for a walk. The Vauban garden is named after a French army general who built a citadel of defense to protect the city of Lille from invasions. The garden is designed in the English style, with harmonious curves that are characterized by a romantic imitation of nature, with grottoes, waterfalls, small wells, statues in memory of famous children from the city, and many flowers. There are trees offering welcome shade. It's one of the finest gardens in Lille, and a place of great historical interest. There are many fruit trees with a conservatory of old varieties.
