Vasastaden is a suburb of Stockholm, the most populous and the most vibrant city on the island of Norrmalm. It's nice to go for a walk, see the old public and private buildings, stores and fashion design, and plenty of restaurants Swedes, but also international, mostly Asian, with a delicious sushi, as there are all kinds of fish available to any establishment. Train stations to get to this neighborhood are Karlbergs or Eriksplan, but the city is perfect to visit on foot, first because the transportation is very expensive, but also because their small size allows. Compared to Madrid or Barcelona and other European capitals, is really small. We can go for walks in the parks Vasaparken, and the park of the national library, dining out in Odenplan, and find further north around the neighborhood to stay cheaper hotels in the city center. Shopping streets, with major international brands, are a little further south, in Vasastaden is rather for small markets, alternative shops, good food and friendly cafes with huge cushions, 25 degrees inside and people in T, in fact is the only way to get away and not worry much about -10 degrees out there ...

Nice to walk around with old commercial and private buildings, fashionable shops and lots of restaurants, Swedish, but also international, mostly Asian, with a great sushi because there are all kinds of fish here. Metro stations to join the neighborhood are Karlbergs or Eriksplan, but the city is made to discover on foot, already because transport is expensive, but also because it is very small compared to Paris and other European capitals . You can walk in the parks of Vasaparken and state library, out to dinner Odenplan and find further north area a few reasonably priced hotels. Shopping streets with major retailers are a little further south, here is rather small markets, alternative shops, great food, and cozy cafes, with big cushions and 25 degrees, everyone in t shirt, which seems not to worry about minus 10 degrees outside!
