Warmth along the river
Shut out of the Tobacco Roots after a cold and even snowy night, we scanned the map -- where was close by but lower down. We bumped out of Mill Canyon, back through Sheridan, past Nevada and Virginia cities, and to Valley Garden, just a few miles out of Ennis. We arrived late-ish but found a spot along the river -- $12, or even less if you have a current Montana fishing license. This was Carlye's night to cook -- fajitas! Beer! We wrapped up as the sun was setting and focused our attention on the birds -- ospreys were diving into the calm water before us, searching for fish. Nice spot.
