Valle Della Luna

E' una piana di grandi massi di granito, risalenti alla glaciazioni, erosi poi dal tempo, fino ad assumere l'attuale aspetto arrotondato. Si trova nella strada che da Viddalba porta ad Aggius, in Gallura, pochi chilometri prima di raggiungere appunto quest'ultimo. A prima vista lascia senza fiato questo paesaggio assolutamente inaspettato! le rocce sono enormi e hanno forme bizzarre, alcune poggiamo su altre e sembrano in bilico, da qua anche il nome di "Piana delle Pietre Ballerine". Vengono organizzate anche delle escursioni in questi luoghi in calesse, a cavallo o in fuoristrada. Vi sono stati girati anche dei film proprio per la particolarità del luogo. Spettacolo unico!

It 'a plain of large granite boulders, dating back to the Ice Age, then eroded by time, until it reached its present rounded look. It is located in the road that leads from Viddalba to Aggius in Gallura, few kilometers before reaching precisely the latter. At first glance this breathtaking landscape completely unexpected! the rocks are huge and have odd shapes, some are standing on the other and seem poised, from here the name of "Piana delle Pietre Dancers". They are also organized excursions to these places drawn carriage, on horseback or by jeep. There were also filmed the movie because of the particularity of the place. Unique show!

Nei pressi di Aggius, in Gallura, seguite le indicazioni che vi portano fuori dal paese fino ad addentrarvi in questa valle dal paesaggio lunare. Da Aggius si esce in direzione di Viddalba, si percorrono circa 7 km. e si arriva quindi ad una vasta pianura sassosa: inoltrandosi nella valle detta Valle della Luna troviamo un paesaggio lunare appunto costellato da grandi massi erratici di granito isolati o raggruppati, alcuni dei quali assumono strane forme modellate dagli agenti atmosferici. La vegetazione è scarsa, costituita da qualche albero da sughero. Il territorio è intervallato da qualche stazzo, tipica abitazione in cui marito e moglie passavano le stagioni nei campi vicino al bestiame.

Near Aggius, in Gallura, follow the signs that take you out of the country up to penetrate this valley from the lunar landscape. From Aggius you exit in the direction of Viddalba, you walk about 7 km away. and then you come to a wide stony plain: venturing into the valley called the Valley of the Moon are just a lunar landscape dotted with large boulders of granite blocks or grouped, some of which take on strange shapes modeled by atmospheric agents. The vegetation is sparse, consisting of some cork tree. The land is interspersed with a few sheep pen, the typical home in which husband and wife spent their seasons in the fields near livestock.
