Valle de Los Caídos

O La Abadía de la Santa Cruz del Valle de los Caidos, situada en San Lorenzo de El Escorial, es un monumento construido entre 1940-1958 por el orden de Francisco Franco que esta enterrado allí junto con José Antonio Primo de Rivera y los 33.872 combatientes de la Guerra Civil. Es obra de los arquitectos Pedro Muguruza y Diego Méndez, también del escultor Juan de Ávalos. Hemos llegado al mediodía, con un sol que quemaba muy fuerte, era un martes, (lunes tienen cerrado), la entrada era gratuita para todos de la CE. Hemos recorrido unos 2-3 kms. por el medio de un bosque de coniferos, todo de un verde crudo y muy refrescante. Cuando hemos llegado a la plataforma del lado derecho nos hemos quedado parados de la impresionante vista, es un edificio magnifico, no deja hacer fotos dentro de la nave central que atraviesa la montaña, (hay 2 entradas de un lado y de otro de la montaña pero solo esta abierto al publico una de las dos partes). Todavía tengo viva la sensación de aquel día; recomiendo visitar este sitio a todos, igual si es sequidor de José Antonio Primo de Rivera o un nostálgico del franquismo, cualquiera tenemos algo que aprender con este magnifico viaje. When we reached the platform on the right side we are left unemployed in the breathtaking view, is a magnificent building, it is still taking pictures inside the nave crossing the mountain (there are 2 inputs and other side of the mountain but open to the public only one of the two parties). I have yet alive the feeling of that day; recommend visiting this place to all, as if sequidor Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera Franco or nostalgic, anyone have something to learn with this magnificent journey. If there are any errors in spelling, sorry, I was not born in this wonderful land. Thank you.

Voy a colgar una serie de fotografías de un lugar que siempre generará sin lugar a dudas debates políticos cuando se trata de algo que nunca tuvo que ocurrir como nuestra guerra civil. Seamos de la condición o pensamiento político que sea, recomiendo visitar este sitio en recuerdo de los muertos de uno o de otro bando, lo que os aseguro es que la tranquilidad os mecerá en sus brazos. Lo que si os aseguro es que para visitar un lugar como este hay que dejar las ideas a un lado y ver la gran obra. Procuremos disfrutar con el magnífico entorno, vistas espectaculares y las esculturas monumentales. Nos costó mucho dinero y pérdidas humanas para estropearlo, aprendamos del pueblo húngaro que en el parque de las estatuas han recopilado una serie de ellas impuestas por un régimen y que han perdonado. A une petite dizaine de kilomètres de l'Escorial, le site que l'on peut traduire par la "Vallée de ceux qui sont tombés" se reconnaît aisément avec sa basilique de taille cyclopéenne et sa grande croix de granit qui domine la région à une altitude de 150m. C'est un endroit où l'on peut ressentir un genre de malaise...non pas dû à l'altitude bien sûr, mais au contexte historique qui a permis à cet édifice faramineux se voir le jour! Il faut dire que le site a été construit par des prisonniers républicains de la Guerre Civile, sous la dictature du Général Franco afin de glorifier son régime au plus haut point. D'ailleurs les sépultures du "Caudillo" et de José Antonio Primo de Rivera, fondateur du parti fasciste appelé la Phalange. Et c'est avec un mélange de perplexité et d'indignation que l'on s'aperçoit que les tombes sont encore fleuries par certains espagnols, peu conscients sans doute de ce que la guerre civile fit subir à leur pays! A quelques dizaines de kilomètres du centre de la capitale madrilène se trouve un monument qui mérite amplement une petite visite. El Valle de Los Caidos, littéralement la vallée de ceux qui sont tombés, est en réalité le site sur lequel le général Franco a décidé de faire construire une immense cathédrale pour surmonter son tombeau. Surprenant, déroutant, énervant même, de par ses couleurs sombres et tristes (rouge et noir sont majoritaires et mettent le plus souvent mal à l'aise le visiteur), le monument mérite tout de même que l'on s'y attarde, car il permet de mieux appréhender l'histoire torturée de ce pays qu'est l'Espagne. On peut donc y visiter cette cathédrale, surmontée d'une croix en mémoire de ceux qui sont tombés pendant la guerre civile, mais on a surtout une vue imprenable sur la région, avec un panorama remarquable.

Es patrimonio nacional y una buena forma de conocer la historia del país. Cuenta con unas vistas espectaculares de Madrid y su sierra, además de un paisaje único rodeado de bosque. Cuenta con un hotel, un restaurante y una cafetería para descansar. También hay un aparcamiento amplio. La entrada cuesta 6€ la reducida y 12€ la adulta. A la cruz se puede subir en funicular, lo cual hace de la visita más bonita aún.

En el verano del 2009 mi pareja yo fuimos de vacaciones a Madrid y alrededores y visitamos el valle de loc caídos donde está enterrado Franco y Primo de Rivera. Es un lugar que vale la pena visitar ya que forma parte de nuestra historia.

Aunque no estoy de acuerdo con los motivos y las circunstancias en las que se construyó, no deja de ser algo de nuestra historia y que merece la pena visitar. Es un lugar al que va muchísima gente, cosa lógica. Es muy bonito, la cruz es impresionante!!

While I do not agree with the reasons and the circumstances in which it was built, it remains something of our history and worth visiting. It is a place where many people go, logical thing. It is very nice, the cross is amazing !!

He visitado varias veces el Valle, la primera vez con ciertos prejuicios, y la experiencia fue maravillosa. Tanto mis hijos com nosotros quedamos encantados de la belleza del lugar, natural, arqutectónica y artística. Por ello volvimos cada vez que tuvimos ocasión. Desgraciadamente está muy descuidado porque Patrimonio no cumple con su deber de mantenerlo. Un lugar que debería prevenirnos contra los fanatismos, ahora en manos de fanáticos que buscan su destrucción, si no pueden directamente, por abandono. Aún así el Valle resiste el desafío y sigue siendo un lugar hermoso, lleno de significado y espiritualidad, para todos aquellos que se decidan a conocerlo y dusfrutar

Si queréis visitar algo espléndido os recomiendo el valle de los caídos con la entrada de 9€ por persona que merecen la pena. Con su enorme Cruz y a los lados tenéis esas paredes tan originales con escrituras y luego entráis a la iglesia es maravillosa grande con una gran pintura en el techo en forma de cúpula es maravilloso. Os recomiendo muchísimo ir además tenéis 4 paradores donde podéis ver unas bonitas vistas.
