Valencia Bullring (Plaza de Toros)

I pass it every day to go to work and I’ve never entered so why is it my favourite spot? For the symmetry of its shape and because it’s a great passageway to achieve great photos of interesting people, being that it is right next to the North Station, the end of the path, where people finish their journeys.

It is a place where I’ve been able to take great photos, a ring in the eyes of a bird, a place of blood and sand and a key point on the map in the province of Valencia.

In every major city in Spain one can find a Bullring (as in Madrid, for example).

The Plaza de Toros de Valencia is very popular among fans of the spectacle. Located in the city centre it can be accessed by public transport as it is close to the great central railway station and bus stops.

Tickets for the different corridas (bullfights) can be purchased at the box office, and if no seats are available you can always turn to the "touts". Walking around the plaza you will find passers-by who want to resell their seats, often at cheaper prices, and occasionally at exorbitant prices, especially for important corridas.

Valencia bullring and museum is a must visit! About €1 or 2 entrance fee. Great to look around in the heart of Valencia. Museum is very interesting too with cinema room/ costumes.
