A campus in an old cotton mill village
The campus of the University of Vaasa is a place with warm weather, ie in spring and summer. Things change in winter enough to see all the snow and sea ice, but of course, any student eager for new experiences, and pursues an exchange, a studio or one season " Erasmus ", this is a lovely spot. We start with its interesting location, because even though being in the city of Vaasa, is in the neighborhood of Palosaari. I say interesting because the university is in what was the old cotton mill village, with its dimensions, aesthetics and fireplaces it does not look like a university. They simply have used the facilities there, preserving the aesthetics of the old factory, and inside they have provided an environment and contemporary equipment that makes a surprising but excellent combination.
