A floating museum
The USS Slater is a ship that served in the U.S. Navy and later in Greece. It is now a museum on the Hudson River in Albany, New York, the only floating museum in the country and a National Historic Landmark. It was built in 1943 and used by the United States until 1947. In 1951 it was given to Greece, who finally stopped using in 1991. Even though we are pacifists, we found the visit very interesting.
