La Corniche Basque d'Urrugne

1 review of La Corniche Basque d'Urrugne

Urruña

Urruña is a nice town in French Basque Country, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees. It's 8 kilometers away from the border of Irun. Urrugne, or Urruña in Basque, boasts having preserved the Basque customs, which are entrenched in the culture here, especially jai alai. The town is in a strategic position between the Rhune and Sokoa, which allows for some really nice visits and walks nearby, such as; Urtubie Castle, Florenia floral park, adventure park Oihana 'https://oihana-64.com/joomla' / index.php, Sokorri Chapel, Sara with its caves and mountains.

You can take the tourist train'https://www.rhune.com,' St Jean de Luz, Hendaye and the castle of Butron, Biarritz, Ziburu, Hondarribia'https://www.minube.com/' rincon/15307 it's worth it to take the "route de la Corniche" (coast road), which runs from Ziburu (Ciboure) to Hendaye Beach, through Sokoa. The views are spectacular. A lot of movies have been filmed on this road.
