This park, located north of the city of Oxford, is easily accessible on foot from the center. It has been developed and managed by the University of Oxford since its acquisition back in 1853. When we visited, it had been raining, and there was still some snow on the ground left over from the recent, unusually harsh winter, so it probably wasn't the best time to see it! Indeed, many roads were closed because of the excess water levels, and the river that runs through the middle of the park had overflowed and turned into a lake!
The park is open to dog-walkers and other animals, but bikes are prohibited on the grounds.
