Une tour audacieuse, des escaliers qui n'en finissent plus, des bancs en plein air près desquels des étudiants en longues toges courent pour rejoindre leurs salles de classes tout en pierres de taille... L'Université de Glasgow prend des airs de Poudlard, surtout à la nuit tombée. Si vous ne risquez (malheureusement) pas d'y croiser Albus, Harry, Ron et les autres, vous aurez toutefois la garantie de vous balader dans un décor digne des romans de J.K Rowling. Bâtie en 1451, la faculté de Glasgow peut se targuer d'être n°1 du top 10 des meilleures universités du Royaume Uni ! Ouverte aux visiteurs donc, elle est située tout au nord de la ville. On y grimpe à pieds depuis l'arrêt de métro Hillhead, sans oublier de passer par Ashton Lane, la rue qui la précède, aussi mignonne qu'un mini-Montmartre et parfaite pour boire un cocktail pas cher (tarif étudiant oblige !) dans l'un des nombreux pubs du coin. Une fois à l'Université, on n'hésite pas à s'égarer dans les couloirs pour trouver le plus beau point de vue sur tout Glasgow, au pied de la plus haute tour.

It climbs walk from Hillhead subway stop, do not forget to go through Ashton Lane, the street that precedes it, as cute as a mini-Montmartre and perfect to drink cheap cocktail (student rate would have it) in one of the many pubs in the area. Once at the University, do not hesitate to wander the corridors to find the most beautiful view across Glasgow at the foot of the tallest tower.

Gran universidad. Precioso diseño. Comparable al Pilar de Zaragoza. Visto a lo lejos es a lo que se asemeja para dar una idea. Puedes acceder al interior donde hay unos bonitos jardines con césped y árboles. La verdad es que me impresionó para bien.
