This prestigious university was opened in 1876. One interesting point to note is that it was the first university in the country to accept both men and women on an equal basis. Undoubtedly the prestige and reputation of this university grew significantly in 1903, with the help of Winston Churchill, who managed to turn it into an institution with a formidable force and an unparalleled academic quality, characteristics that it still retains to this day. Among its students is the actress Emily Watson, who studied here. It is not permitted to visit the university if you are not a student, you can only visit the fabulous entrance, where there is a rope that keeps you from entering.
