La Universidad Al Akhawayn data del año 1993 y es una universidad que se sitúa en el Atlas Medio dentro de la población de Ifrane.
Está catalogada como una de las universidades más caras de todo Marruecos y sorprende mucho su estructura al tener una arquitectura típica alpina francesa en todas sus construcciones de colores ocre y rojizo.
En el recinto viven aproximadamente unos 2.000 estudiantes que cuentan con mezquita propia y otros servicios de lujo.
Al Akhawayn University dates back to the year 1993 and is a university that is situated in the Middle Atlas in the population of Ifrane. It is ranked as one of the most expensive universities throughout Morocco and its structure much surprised to have a French alpine tpica architecture in all its buildings ocher and red colors. In the complex there are approximately 2,000 students who have their own mosque and other luxury amenities.
