Union Mining Park

Otro de mis rincones favoritos en la Región de Murcia, la Mina Agrupa Vicenta, una visita que me gustó mucho más de lo esperado. Pensé que sería la típica mina que tratan de convertir en parque temático pero no fue así, nada más lejos. Tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer la historia que rodea a la Unión y sus Minas, de conocer detalles tan interesantes como que el terremoto de Lorca no se notó apenas dentro de las Minas gracias al reparto de pesos que existe dentro de la montaña. Gracias a las explicaciones uno se hace a la idea de lo duro que era el oficio de minero tiempo atrás, las condiciones infrahumanas y la falta de seguridad con que transcurrían sus vidas dentro de la montaña. Por otro lado, recomiendo la visita a todos los amantes de la fotografía, es perfecta para experimentar la larga exposición, la luz es muy escasa pero el entorno es muy muy bonito. Yo soy un total amateur, os dejo con alguna de las fotos que se salvan de las decenas que hice. Si pasas por La Unión tienes 2 visitas imprescindibles: el festival flamenco y las Minas. P.D: ¿te imaginas como debe ser un concierto dentro de la Mina?

Dimos un paseo por el Parque Minero de la Unión en la Sierra Minera y visitamos la Mina Agrupa Vicenta. ¡Una pasada! Vale la pena ver sobre el terreno el proceso completo de la antigua industria minera subterránea, desde la extracción del mineral, hasta su lavado, y la posterior obtención de metal en las fundiciones.

Admirar el patrimonio industrial minero, los elementos que salpican este paisaje, texturas en rojos, óxidos, ocres... Y recorrer las entrañas de la tierra, sentir la profundidad de unas minas cargadas de sentimiento e historia... es una experiencia única.

Si pensáis visitar la mina con niños de dos años, no OS lo aconsejó, ya que a mi me echaron porque mi hijo preguntó en dos ocasiónes sin llorar ni gritar que porque había tanta piedra y porque era tan oscuro y el guía nos dijo que el niño no se sabia comportar y molestaba al grupo y que nos teníamos que ir, así que sin acompañamiento salimos y como el tren que nos subió no bajaba hasta terminar la visita ( 2h) tuvimos que bajar campo a través a pleno sol de agosto

La verdad es que es una visita obligada si vienes a la Region. Merece mucho la pena bajar a la Mina que se entra desde una entrada que tiene en la parte alta del parque. Luego bajar andando recorriendo todo el parque y ver como se trabajaba el mineral es muy interesante.
