An interesting museum
One visit for me is essential to know the entire history of Samarkand is the memorial museum of Ulugbek, which is directly opposite the Ulugbek Observatory, in the complex created in honor this famous astronomer, which is a monumen to the input. In the museum you can see some of the pieces that were extracted from the excavations carried out by the Soviet archaeologist Vladimir L. Vyatkin, even the same rebuilt the Ulugbek Observatory. The exhibition saw a large collection of astronomical instruments, small-scale reconstruction of the Ulugbek Observatory, some of the pages of the famous book Zij al-Sultani on astronomy written by Ulugbek, and even photographs of the same excavation in 1908 when Vyatkik discovered the remains.
I think it's one of the few museums I've visited on my route through Uzbekistan and also one of the views that I liked and that more advise everyone to visit, due to widespread ignorance we have in Europe this Persian astronomer.
