Úlfljótsvatn Lake
The lake is south of the most famous and biggest (Þingvallavatn). This one has something that makes it equally interesting. There's the scenery, fishing, views... but most of all the red-roofed white church (Úlfljótsvatnkirkja), in the usual Iceland style. Here, from the height of the road, and with the depth of the lake and the colours changing according to the weather and seasons, you have something you makes you want to return again and again. I would live in Iceland just to be close enough to this place to go when I felt like it. :)
