Ubud

Ubud is at the confluence of two rivers that lead to the healing pool there, so a Hindu priest created the city there. Ubud literally means place of healing. Today it is a small tourist town with almost all of Bali's the cultural activity. It is an ideal place to base yourself to explore the rest of the island.
