The Tyne Bridge

3 reviews of The Tyne Bridge

Bridge that parts the city into two

The River Tyne Newcastle parts the city into 2, and from the Roman occupation, people began to construct bridges. It is one of the loveliest, with a round dome and looks like Sydney. I can see now what made the river pedestrian, and at night there is a great show. I went to the other bridges to look at it from far away, at dawn there is a beautiful light and is a great place that I recommend. Technically it is an arched bridge that goes to the city of Newcastle Gateshead. It is 160 meters, and was built in the year 1925. It took 3 years before its opening in the year 1928. You can cross it by car, bike or on foot, and enjoy the views over the city.

The bridge replaces the first Roman bridge made by the Romans in 122, and many successive bridges that took the river after heavy rainfall.
