Tryp Gran Sol Hotel
The Gran Sol building that houses the Hotel Tryp Gran Sol is one of the most imposing buildings in Alicante and a great symbol of the coastline, due to its height and its spectacular murals. Originally called the Alonso Building, it was the first skyscraper in Alicante, completed in 1968 and with a height of 97 meters. Another of its main features is its excellent location as it is in the heart of the city, near the marina and the historic area. The hotel has 28 floors with a total of 123 rooms. I have never stayed at the hotel, however I have eaten a few times in its panoramic restaurant on the 26th floor.
