Trayecto en Jeep Darjeeling-Siliguri

Para llegar (o irse) de Darjeeling hay 2 tipos de transporte; o en jeep compartido o en autobús. Nosotros utilizamos para llegar a Darjeeling el bus (90 rupias-1,20€/4,5 horas) y para marcharnos el jeep compartido (250 rupias-3€/3,5 horas). El jeep es más rápido, pero como inconveniente es que van 12 personas en un coche que caben 8 y no puedes disfrutar de las vistas como los haces en el bus. También es cierto que uno se siente más seguro con un conductor de jeep que de autobús, pues este último va recogiendo a todo el mundo que ve por la carretera, repito a todo el mundo... Y el bus finalmente puede tener el doble de pasajeros de los que pueden caber, aunque en honor a la verdad, esto en India da igual y es completamente normal. El jeep, como el bus, hace una parada en medio del trayecto para que tomes algo de comer o de beber, o compres algo en na tienda que ellos tienen concertada.
