Este castillo fue construido en el siglo XIII en el noroeste de Croacia dentro del sistema de defensivo, como una pequeña fortaleza de observación para vigilar la carretera de Ptuj (Eslovenia) a Bednja. En el siglo XIX, Trakoscan adquirió su aspecto actual, pasó a estilo neogótico. No sólo modificó su interior, también puso fin a sus cinco siglos de fortificación.
This castle was built in the thirteenth century in northwestern Croatia within the defense system, as a small fortress observation to monitor the road from Ptuj (Slovenia) to Bednja. In the nineteenth century, Trakoscan acquired its present appearance, became Gothic. Not only altered its interior, also ended its five centuries of fortification.

Este castillo está ubicado en lo alto de una colina dentro del parque del mismo nombre en el norte de Croacia. Fue contruido en la segunda mitad del siglo XIII como sistema defensivo del Condado de Zagorje. El parque cuenta también con un lago artificial y una frondosa vegetación. Aunque está bastante alejado de centros urbanos merece la pena acercarse si estáis visitando esta parte de Croacia. Cuenta con una gran colección de retratos y muebles del siglo XVII y del periodo rococó.
This castle is located on top of a hill in the park of the same name in the north of Croatia. Was which was built in the second half of the thirteenth century as a defensive system Zagorje County. The park also has an artificial lake and lush vegetation. Although it is quite far from urban centers worth visiting if you are visiting this part of Croatia. It features a large collection of portraits and furniture of the seventeenth and the rococo period.
